Oregon's 2024 national championship odds improve as spring football season rolls on

The landscape of college football looks far different in 2024 than even a few years ago. While name, image and likeness licensing, the transfer portal and conference realignment have altered the foundation of the sport, the goal for every team remains the same: a national championship.

Few teams have set themselves up as well to accomplish that goal as the Oregon Ducks this season. While they lost elite playmakers Bo Nix, Bucky Irving and Troy Franklin, Dan Lanning has utilized the transfer portal as well as anyone the last couple of years. He has retooled the roster and set the Ducks up for success. Now, Dillon Gabriel, Tez Johnson, Evan Stewart, Jordan Burch and Jabbar Muhammad — among many others — look to lead this team to new heights.

At the end of the 2023 season, we looked at the early betting odds for the 2024 national championship, noting the Ducks were among the most likely teams in the nation to hoist the trophy at the end of the year. Since then, Oregon’s odds have improved as the hype around this team starts to build.
